We have opened our doors to dining in!! With many extra measures in place. We are open 7 days a week 4pm-9pm. We are operating at less than half capacity, removing tables and chairs to allow self-distancing. Reservations are highly recommended, to enjoy dine-in service as we have implemented a 25 person maximum occupancy. Masks will be worn by employees at times within the restaurant when they can’t self distance and all employees will follow strict hygiene protocol. All employees have been the same 10 employees working together for the last two months.
- Hand sanitizer will be provided to all guests upon arrival and they are required to use it before entering our dining room.
- Groups will be sat six feet apart with a maximum of 6 people per table, both in the restaurant and on our patio.
- All surfaces within the restaurant will be sanitized thoroughly between each use, by servers and deli staff.
- Washrooms will be sanitized every 15 minutes.
We are of course open for take-out and delivery if you are still not quite comfortable with dinning in. We look forward to your visit. Please stay safe!
Colin and Kim Taylor are the new owners of Pastameli Restaurant in the picturesque community of Caulfield in West Vancouver
Colin has an extensive background within the service industry, spanning over 22 years. Growing up as a Horseshoe Bay local he is familiar with West Vancouver and has known of Pastameli for as long as he can remember.
Colin met Kim, a Saskatchewan native, 14 years ago when they both worked in a West Coast inspired restaurant. They are since married and have two young children. Kim also brings with her over 20 years of experience within the industry and is proud to put her skills to work within the daily operation of the restaurant.
It was only fitting that these two would take on a new adventure and so they purchased Pastameli from well-known local business owner, Bruce Meli. Bruce owned the successful restaurant for 25 years, which opened in 1983 as a pasta shop on Robson St. in Vancouver.
Since taking over, Colin and Kim, have updated the dining room to a comfortable contemporary atmosphere, which is great for intimate dining, a night out with friends or a casual group get together. As young parents, Colin and Kim welcome families with children and can accommodate any dining experience.
The key to Pastameli success has always been quality and freshness. Under the direction of Head Chef Don Barron, fantastic new creations have been introduced with a focus on local ingredients, all the while keeping a number of past favorites that have made Pastameli's so popular.
Service at Pastameli includes lunch and dinner as well as a busy take out deli that features all of the specialties - pizza by the slice, panini sandwiches, unique salads, pasta entrees, pizza subs, etc.
